Feachtas Chonamara Láir
Sheol pobal Chonamara Láir i gcomhar le hÚdarás na Gaeltachta an feachtas
uaillmhianach seo ar Lá Mhic Dara, 2021. Cuireadh Conamara Láir, ceantar bródúil
tuaithe atá lonnaithe ar chósta maorga Chonamara, chun cinn mar cheann de na
ceantair is fearr ar domhan chun cónaithe agus chun oibre ann.
Rinne an feachtas cur síos ar an saol mar atá ag daoine áitiúla agus daoine a bhog
chuig an gceantar, agus na deiseanna a cuireadh ar fáil dóibh ó thaobh gnó agus
fostaíochta de.
Trí scéalta cumhachtacha pearsanta áitiúla a insint, ba í aidhm an fheachtais ná go
ndéanfaí teagmháil le daoine, teaghlaigh agus gnóthaí, go roinnfí eolas leo agus go
ndéanfaí iad a spreagadh chun cur fúthu agus páirt ghníomhach a bheith acu sa
bpobal cultúrtha bríomhar Gaeltachta seo.
Ó cuireadh tús spleodrach leis an bhfeachtas seo, tá go leor fiosrúchán faighte ó
thimpeall na tíre agus na cruinne, ó theaghlaigh, ó dhaoine aonair agus ó ghnólachtaí.
Tá 121 fiosrúcháin beo idir lámha i gConamara Láir cheana féin agus tá Forbairt
Chonamara Láir Teo., i gcomhfhreagras le gach ceann.
Ar an 1ú Méan Fómhair, d'fhógair Oireachtas na Gaeilge gearrliosta do Feachtas
Meáin Shóisialta na bliana 2021. Ba ar Mháirín Ní Choisdealbha -Seoige a bhí an

Conamara Láir in collaboration with Údarás na Gaeltachta launched this ambitious campaign on Lá Mhic Dara (July 16th), 2021. Conamara Láir, a proud rural area located on the majestic Connemara Coast, was promoted as one of the best areas in the world to live and work in. The campaign showcased the life of local people and of people who moved to the area, and the business and employment opportunities that were available to them. Through telling powerful personal stories, the aim of the campaign was that contact would be made with people, families, and businesses, that information would be shared with them and that they would be encouraged to live and have an active part in this lively cultural Gaeltacht community. Since the exciting start of this campaign, many inquiries have been received from around the country and the world from families, individuals, and businesses.
There are already 121 live inquiries in hand in Conamara Láir and FCLT are in correspondance with every one.
