Rudaí Le Déanamh

B'fhear an-naofa é Naomh Ciarán. Chuir sé go leor mainistreacha ar bun in Éirinn. Is é a chuir Chluann Mhac Nóis ar bun in aice na Sionaine. Is in Árainn a fuair Ciarán a chuid scolaíocht. Fuair sé bás ar an naoú lá de Mheán Fhómhair agus tá lá mór againn ar an lá sin ó shin. Tá tobar déanta ann le haghaidh daoine a bheith ag tabhairt turais ann agus cill bheag ann fadó a rinne Ciarán agus tá Cill Chiarán mar ainm ar an áit ó shin. Tagann go leor daoine ag tabhairt turais ann Dé hAoine nó Dé Domhnaigh.

Tugann siad leo cuid den chaonach a mbíonn ag fás ar na clocha mar tá sé go maith le haghaidh leighis dá mbeadh créacht ar dhuine a bheadh dona gearr go mbeadh sé go maith.

St.Ciarán was a very holy man. He founded many monasteries in Ireland. He founded Clonmacnoise beside the river Shannon. Ciarán received his education in Inishmore. He died on the 9th of September and there is a celebration on that day since. A well has been made there for people to visit and a small church that Ciarán built long ago and the place has been called Kilkerrin since. A lot of people come and visit the place on Friday or Sunday. They bring with them some of the moss that grows on the stones as it is good for healing someone who had a wound.
