Tá plean cuimsitheach curtha le chéile anois a thugann léargas ar stádas na Gaeilge sa gceantar chomh maith le láidreachtaí agus riachtanais an limistéir mar cheantar Gaeltachta. Tá bearta atá uaillmhianach ach réalaíoch ann chun an Ghaeilge agus an tsaíocht Ghaelach a chur chun cinn mar mhór acmhainn d’fhorás eacnamaíoch, oideachasúil, cultúir agus sóisialta sa limistéar don seacht mbliana amach romhainn agus do na glúnta ina dhiaidh sin.”
"The Central Connemara Language Planning Steering Committee is acting as a committee since the beginning of 2016. After several public meetings and after an appeal to the public, a voluntary committee was formed with members from different areas of the language planning district and from various social and professional backgrounds. The committee is of the opinion that there is a significant connection between a strong Irish-speaking Gaeltacht community and the high quality standard of living with the successful economy of the area. The committee was sensitive that they were representing the community of the area and a huge emphasis was placed on community input from the beginning to the end of this process. A comprehensive plan has been compiled which gives an insight into the status of the Irish language in the area as well as the area's strengths and needs as a Gaeltacht area. There are measures that are ambitious but realistic to promote the Irish language as a major resource of economic, educational, cultural and social development in the area for the next seven years and for generations to come.”
